The late Christy Ring was the player every young man wished to be,synonomus with the game of hurling & Cloyne.Donal Og Cusack & Diarmuid O'Sullivan are now carrying on the great tradition of the maestro, the new  breed,All Ireland winners & Cloyne players.

With Cork hoping to eclipse three in a row All Irelands there is no doubt that Diarmuid & Donal Og will be at the forefront of the campaign once again. At 27 & 28 years of age, what both men can achieve with their county is hard to imagine.

Donal Og always the master in the 2004 county final against Na Piarsaigh. He has brought Cloyne as a club to the forefront of hurling & has added a new dimension to the game.

A ROCK IN A HARD PLACE - Sully with his back to the wall - a rare sight - a tunnel interview after this year's all ireland against Galway.

Paul you don't win All Irelands sitting on the ground, this is the second time this year that I've told you this.!!!- Diarmuid O'Sullivan & Paul Flynn AI Q/F 2005
